《課堂語境下的語言意識教學實證探究（英文版）》討論了語言意識理論和該理論在語言教學中的應用。所謂語言意識可以認為是對于人類語言能力及這種能力在思維、學習和社會生活中的作用的理解力，指處理語言信息的一種內在能力，可以是直覺的，更是清晰的對語言形式的注意，甚至是更高層次的元認知。語言意識可以用三個隱喻來表述：語言意識是語言的“窗口”，是通向外語學習的“橋梁”，是顯示文字能力和語言能力的“門戶”。然而，作為教學方法的語言意識在其適用性和實用性領域的研究到目前為止仍顯不足。
《課堂語境下的語言意識教學實證探究（英文版）》的主要目的在于探索作為教學方法的語言意識以及在中國外語教學語境下I-I-I（Illustration-Interaction-Induction，說明一互動一推導）模式在語法教學上的應用。本研究為實證研究。首先進行了先期研究以檢視在中國外語教學語境下的適用性。隨后通過課堂語法教學對I-I-I模式在中國外語教學語境下的教學可行性進行了探索。研究方法采用了混合式研究方法，即質性研究途徑與量化研究途徑相混合，采用敘述法、問卷法、訪談法以及前測和后測、SPSS數據統計等研究手段。研究結果顯示，基于語言意識的I-I-I語法教學方法呈現相對好的成就，被試表現出正向的認知理念，從而證實該模式在中國外語教學語境下的可行性。
